Brent has been in the health and wellness industry since 1998, and an impassioned educator for nearly 10 years. Developing a presentation style that is clear and engaging he has been focused on optimizing evidence-based, skill-centric, education for all human movement professionals. As a recourse to industry giants from SHAPE magazine Town Sports International, Equinox and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Brent is grateful to affect thousands of lives every year as President and Founder of the Brookbush Institute of Human Movement Science.

Stefanie DiCarrado DPT, PT, BS, NASM – CPT, CES, PES Project Manager

With more than seven years of experience in the technology industry before switching careers and pursuing her passion in physical therapy, Stefanie is a unique talent. Her previous work as a project manager with several software development companies, along with her knowledge of networking and database management, ignited a passion for integrating technology into education systems… This has made her an essential part of online education platform development for the Brookbush Institute. Assuming the role of Project Manager in Jan. 2015, we look forward to continued development and growth under her leadership. Her skill in project management is only matched by her interest in functional anatomy, human movement science, and rehabilitation (special interest in Parkinsons and MS). In addition to her work with the Brookbush Institute, Stefanie is a physical therapist at Aspire Physical Therapy and sees several in-home patients in the NYC area.

Jinny McGivern

Jinny McGivern DPT, PT, Yoga Instructor Author

Dr. Jinny McGivern comes to the Brookbush Institute as a recent graduate of the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at Hunter College. In addition to her training as a physical therapist, Jinny brings a diverse background of dance performance, stage management, event planning and yoga teaching to the team at the Brookbush Institute. Jinny has worked as a physical therapist at Central Park Physical Therapy in midtown Manhattan, and is now starting an Orthopedic Residency Program through the Institute of Physical Art at the Long Island University Center for Physical Rehabilitation in Brooklyn, NY.

Nicholas D. Rolnick

Nicholas D. Rolnick MS, CSCS Author

Nick Rolnick aspires to be a world class physical therapist and performance enhancement specialist. He has had an interest in sports and performance from his days as captain of his college baseball team, where he achieved all-conference honors, to his more recent pursuits as men’s physique competitor, stepping on stage multiple times and winning a natural bodybuilding show. Since graduating with an M.S. in Health Promotion Management, Nick realized he can combine his love for fitness with his passion to help others by pursuing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Columbia University where he is currently enrolled. Nick has been training since 2011 in various settings, from Equinox, to university gyms to private settings. His passion for excellence led him to the Brookbush Institute where he is an author and contributes to various projects in the pursuit of evidence-based, practical education in human movement science.

Erik Korzen

Erik Korzen DC, NASM-CES Educator

Bringing his extensive human movement background to the Brookbush Institute, Dr. Korzen joined the team in June, 2015. He is a practicing chiropractic physician in Illinois, as well as an enthusiastic educator. Dr. Korzen’s mission is to re-define the chiropractic profession through education, evidence-based practice, and an integrated approach to physical medicine. He teaches Human Anatomy at the National University of Health Sciences which allows him continued access to cadaveric dissection while still practicing in a clinical setting – a unique and incredibly enlightening pairing. His love for education have led to certifications in acupuncture, KinesioTaping, corrective exercise, and pursuit of the certification available through the McKenzie Institute. Additionally, Dr. Korzen has been quoted in various media outlets on diverse health related topics.

Cristine Leva Administrative Assistant

Her quick followup, multitasking abilities, and attention to detail add to the functionality and inner workings of the Brookbush Institute. Although not a professional in the field of exercise science and physical therapy, Cristine has enjoyed working for the Brookbush Institute as she has a passion for health and wellness.
